Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. –Psalm 103:1
When through my leaky roof it’s raining,
I sometimes find myself complaining,
“I wonder what He’s trying to teach me now!”
I know He knows just how He planned it,
Even if I don’t understand it.
I’ve got to learn to praise Him anyhow.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me;
Bless the Lord, praise His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me;
Bless the Lord, praise His holy name.
Coming in for a three-point landing,
Leaning on my own understanding,
That might be why I missed the whole runway!
Just doing what I thought was best to;
Again the Lord came to the rescue.
And once again my friend I’ve got to say,
{Refrain}
With all the things I’d be pursuing,
I’m glad the Lord knows what He’s doing
To teach me that my ways are not His ways.
When I think things should be moving faster,
He lets me know He’s still the Master.
To wait on Him just fills me with His praise.
{Refrain}
